One of the true joys of working on The Polo Project is discovering uniquely fascinating, and often creative and motivated people.

The challenge in compiling the content often revolves around making the difficult choice between  focusing on the person in a biographical sense, or the product of their endeavours. Sometimes the two are indistinguishable, however, in respect of the latter, the further challenge  arises of how best to capture the essence of those endeavours, whether it be through words, images, video, or a combination of all these.

One of the true joys of working on The Polo Project is discovering uniquely fascinating, and often creative and motivated people.

The editorial about Michael Maritz (and the behind the scenes footage) is not just a feature about an aspiring polo professional, but also tells the story of the uber stylish Dark Horse Vineyard, with its restored barn tastefully converted into a ‘Hermes’ inspired homestead, through the vision of Vineyard founder Olivia Popovic. Olivia’s story could have easily constituted its own dedicated piece, and yet in this instance, it seemed most appropriate to present her stylish achievement subtly, as a backdrop to the Maritz shoot.

This edition takes us across distant corners of the globe, from Egypt where Zeina forged her equine inspired performance wear, to UNESCO ambassador, humanitarian, entrepreneur and polo player, Claude-Alix Bertrand.
