This edition traverses extremes, from the Rocky Mountains of North America, where Aspen Snow Polo lured me with its alpine glamour and idyllic scenery, to the wilds of the African Savannah and Argentinian tundra, which intrepid horse guide and Dior sensation, Jakob Von Plessen, calls home. The whirlwind trip to Colorado for the Snow Polo yielded many great experiences and stories, one of which was meeting professional polo player Nic Roldan. A generous host, Nick gave my husband and I great insight into what to do in Aspen, and allowed us to tag along to a fabulous Snow Polo after party at the exclusive Caribou Club. His candid interview will give you a deeper understanding of what makes him tick.

Equestrian style is her everyday staple and a quick look at Zinta’s Instagram reveals jodphurs as a common fashion accessory

LA based beauty Zinta Braukis (aka @ZintaPolo) graces our cover this edition – thanks to our exclusive shoot by Trevor King and we learn a little about how she integrates her love of horses and polo into her working life. Equestrian style is her everyday staple and a quick look at Zinta’s Instagram reveals jodphurs as a common fashion accessory, as well as performance garb.

While on the topic of equestrian style, dressing for polo assumes a distinct flavour depending on what country you are in, and nothing escapes the discerning eye of our Fashion Editor Anouk Colantoni, as she gains inspiration from the three main players in the polo fashion world: Argentina, UK and the US.

The theme that transcends all our stories, however, is a grounding connection with an animal our protagonists hold dear to their hearts – an animal that has inspired everything from lifestyle, art and epiphany, to fashion, sport, world-class events, travel and hospitality.
